Ben Joutras
Hi there! My name is Ben Joutras, owner of Joutras Tree Care. My educational degree and professional background is in geography and geographic information systems (GIS), but a few years ago I wanted to branch out and took a job in the arboricultural industry. As it turns out, I discovered that I love tree work. Climbing trees, running chainsaws, thoughtful pruning, being outdoors solving tree problems, working with and learning from other "tree people" is a lot of fun. In October of 2022 I decided to start a LLC serving the Sauk Prairie, WI area and nearby communities. Joutras Tree Care LLC is a fully insured company owned by ISA Certified Arborists. I take pride in my work and strive to provide high quality professional tree services up to ISA standards.
John Joutras
I found my way to arboriculture in 2017 after finishing a degree in Forest Science at UW-Madison. Learning to prune and climb trees seemed like a good fit for my professional training in forestry and passion for rock climbing, and so I decided to try it out, just for a season. I found a position with a company of passionate arborists in Madison, and under their mentorship that one season turned into a career. I earned my ISA Certified Arborist credential in 2018 and have been working as an arborist ever since.
I love that tree work keeps me outside and active during all seasons of the year, and I enjoy working in the small team environment of a tree crew. My favorite days on the job bring teamwork, technical skills, and creativity together to find a solution that works for everyone: the customer, the crew, and the tree.
